Jan. 31st, 2015: That's right folks. I have decided to take another year off and go fishing. I would like to thank everyone for allowing me to take you fishing for the past 18 years. I hope to get to spend some more time on the water with many of you in the future. The time however has come for me to take a little time for myself. You know. Hog all the good spots. LOL. Hope all of you have a truly wonderful year. Thanks again!

"Fishing Cape San Blas, St George Island, Apalachicola & Mexico Bech"

Tarpon have began showing up along the beaches of Cape San Blas. The big push of fish should begin stacking up in West Pass within the next week. All signs point to an excellent year for the Silver King. Now if we can just get the winds to shut down for a while. Maybe a live sacrifice is in order. I can think of a few excellent candidates. LOL.

The bay fishing has been the best it has been in years. All the species (Trout, Reds, Pompano, Spanish and Blues) are well represented.

The Triple Tail bite is wide open. Some old timers say it is the best they have seen in 30 years. All in all, it is stacking up to be a great year. Hope you get tp join us.

Please feel free to give me a call or shoot us an email if you have any questions. I hope we get to see you at the dock soon. 850-509-0573

Fishing heaven! As a Cape San Blas fishing guide, this truly is heaven. Turquoise waters lapping against the beach, a crystal clear bay with a bottom hard enough for wading, flats that stretch for miles and a fishery abounding with Tarpon, Cobia, Redfish, Trout, Pompano, huge schools of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish and the ever elusive Triple Tail are just part of what makes Cape San Blas fishing so special. The water is normally so clear, you can sight cast to virtually every fish that inhabits these inshore waters. The beaches at Cape San Blas have even been voted #1 in the US. Around mid to late March we begin booking fishing charters for Pompano, Cobia, Redfish and Trout. Around mid June Capt Keith becomes a Tarpon fishing guide. Yes,he is obsessed with Tarpon fishing. Capt Keith has fished most of the top Tarpon fisheries in the world. He says with confidence that, "Tarpon fishing along the beaches of Cape San Blas is second to none". If you are looking to catch a trophy Tarpon, this is the place. July and August are the months. On the eastern boarder of Cape San Blas you will find one of the most beautiful crystal clear saltwater bays (St Joe Bay) in the US. The sight fishing here and as a result fly fishing is as good as it gets anywhere. This is the kind of fishery that makes a fishing guide look good. Cape San Blas simply has it all. Capt Keith says: " Many times I have stood on flats around the Caribbean and said to myself, I have this at home". The fly fishing here is amoung the best in the US. With the clear water and hard bottom, the wade fishing is without doubt the best there is. The only two short comings I can think of is, we need a "World Wide Sportsman" store and a "Key West" style cheeseburger cafe. For an update on "What's Biting Now", check out our fishing report page.

You are going to love the time you spend here at Cape San Blas. Whether you're looking for a fly fishing guide or a light tackle fishing guide we can help. Let us show you why Captain Keith Grimes is one of the most sought after fishing gides in this area. Let's Go Fishing! 850-227-2135
